PARKROYAL COLLECTION Marina Bay offers a day stay too, just like Hilton, Marriott, Vagabond and its own sister properties, PARKROYAL COLLECTION Pickering and PARKROYAL on Beach Road. Or ParkRoyal at Kitchener Road.
How to book a day stay at PARKROYAL COLLECTION Marina Bay
The best and easiest way to do so is through the web site. Not through the app.
Make sure you choose the DAY STAY option.
And you will get a list of the conditions…
Let’s review them.
First Check In is very good. As early as 8am. And check out is 7pm. So that makes it 11 hours. Very nice compared to some day stay hotels.
You get a in room dining credit of $30. And 20% off the menu in the hotel restaurants. That means you must come out of your room and visit these restaurants to get the 20%. If you stay in the room, and order room service, you get $30. 20% on spa visits.
And oh.. so important.. so so important. Free Parking 🙂 FREE PARKING !! FREE PARKING !!
But officially, there is no GHA Discovery (that’s Pan Pacific loyalty programme) benefits. GHA Discovery benefits are brilliant if you are a Black member (2 rooms upgrade, early check in, late check out etc). But these do not apply to day stay. However, as you would see later, I was kindly given a room upgrade :). Actually of all the hotel loyalty programs around, I love GHA Discovery (especially if you are BLACK member).
This Day Stay No GHA benefit is common too as I had that in Parkroyal Pickering too.
And the day stay cost ? Actually it is NOT cheap (as compared to many day stays such as Hilton and Vagabond) but hey… it is still a nice hotel (and a brilliant room, as I would share later). GHA members get 10% discount.
PARKROYAL COLLECTION Marina Bay Day Lobby
Oh my god. Oh my god. The lobby. It is absolutely gorgeous !!!
First you arrived at the first floor but the actual reception of the hotel is located on level four and the lifts are located behind the concierge desk.
And when you arrive at the 4th floor, you can only say Wow..
This is in day time (as a day stay person, I usually don’t get to see the hotel at the evening…. maybe for a staycation… but not for a day stay). I can imagine this must be super nice at night.
But even in the day time.. wow…
This must be the most beautiful lobby in Singapore.
PARKROYAL COLLECTION Marina Bay describes itself as a garden-in-a-hotel as evidenced by this. And the arrival lobby is full of evidence of that. Literally a Garden.

The lobby is so airy. So bright (due to the sky ceiling) and so so loveable.

If you go to the swimming pool, it is on the fifth floor. You can get a good view of the lobby from there too..

When I go up to my room (on 17th floor), I also had to stop at the lift lobby and then stared down at the reception lobby. For ten minutes. Just simply appreciating the lobby. This. Is. A. Brilliant. Lobby.

PARKROYAL COLLECTION Signature Marina Bay Room
As mentioned early, I booked an Urban room for day stay. However, as I am a Black member of the GHA Discovery program, the hotel was very kind (they don’t have to do this. It was stated clearly in the terms and conditions of a day stay) to upgrade me. From Urban room to Signature Marina Bay Room.
it was a very nice room.
First impression was WOW when I went into the room.
This one is for me to sit and wear shoes right 🙂

There is a pretty big place to place your bags and luggages. There are no luggages for me as this was a day stay. The table to work on is right in front of the TV. No separate table. Instead where a table is normally is, there is a nice little comfortable chair for you to relax and watch TV.

The wardrobe is also the mini bar area.
Nespresso. No good hotel will be without it. No Roast Coffee brands please 🙂
And the bed.. there is so much space on the left side (the right side if you are on the bed) that you can imagine a rollaway bed there too (that’s the result of someone who is always thinking of a rollaway bed because you know, the kids demanded it).

The bathroom could be found immediately to the left of the entrance. I believe this bathroom is the renovated one as it looks clean and new and nice to me :). Better than Hilton’s toilet 🙂

And check this out. Filtered water !!!
They have everything. Even black and white toothbrushes. So that you don’t mix up with your partner. Love the thoughtfulness.

But hor, to me, somehow they looked older than the all white 🙂
Signature Marina Bay Room Balcony
There is a small balcony in the room. You can go out to this balcony. National Day Parade rehearsals were going on during my stay 🙂
And it is not sheltered
The view from 17th floor room. It was nice. The name of the room is Signature Marina Bay Room so it must offer a view of the Marina Bay right 🙂 Of course it is nothing compared to Ritz Carlton or Fullerton 🙂

PARKROYAL COLLECTION Marina Bay Swimming Pool
As a day stay user, I seldom swim (although I do use the gym a little). So the swimming pool is not so important. But I did went down to take a look so that I can just add the pool to this review.
The collection club lounge is just next to the pool. Look at the pretty building. Amazing.
And the pool.. drum roll…
And I love these lounge seats…
By the way, if you like a close up shot of the Esplanade aka Durian, do walk to the back of the club lounge. You can get a nice shot.
And do remember, as part of your day stay, you get $30 in room dining credit. Do remember to use it. You order through the QR Code to reach an automated support chat. As usual nowadays.
I ordered chicken rice set. The closest to $30 I can find. Just a few cents more than the $30.
Conclusion
The PARKROYAL COLLECTION Marina Bay Day Stay is not a cheap option compared to many cheaper ones around. If you are just looking for a place to do your work (and relax), then this is a little more expensive (but then there are day stays at W Sentosa, St Regis and Conrad which cost more…).
But if you like a pretty hotel to start your day, a nice room (especially if you have GHA Discovery membership AND if they do kindly upgrade you), then the PARKROYAL COLLECTION Marina Bay Day Stay is a nice option !
