I was in Fukuoka a while back, and have many great videos and blog posts to share about this really nice place in Japan. One of the best place I visited is the Shin Shin Ramen restaurant at Hakata Station. I love the noodles a lot. In my humble opinion, this shop is a fantastic place to start your ramen tasting experience at the Ramen City of the world.
During this trip, I had the chance to taste ramen at Ichiran Tenjin (which is a different kind of experience with its booth like eating) or the original 元祖长浜屋 (Ganso Nagahamaya which is yet another different experience). I will share blog posts and videos on these soon too. Time.. I need time 🙂
Anyhow, the Shin Shin ramen shop that I went to was the one at the Hakata Station.

There are, of course, quite a few branches around for Shin Shin and here’s a list in Japan in their cards.

In typical Japanese attention to detail, the branches are also shown (on a reverse side) in a map. You will notice there is one at Tenjin too. I love Tenjin. Fantastic shopping place ! 🙂

Shin Shin at Hakata Station
The Shin Shin ramen place I went to is in the shopping place just above the Hakata station.

There was a long queue when I arrived but it took only about 20 mins to clear up before my turn !

Menu at Shin Shin Ramen Hakata Fukuoka
Let’s take a look at the menu !

No worries, the photos in the menu will help you, the non Japanese a lot, to pick your food for the day.

My Food at Shin Shin Ramen Hakata Fukuoka
Yes yummy !!!

Here’s my ramen. Ok, I can be biased, I can be naive and probably a little wrong and probably because it was the first meal I had in Fukuoka, but after the trip, I still think this is the BEST ramen I had during my trip. I love the soup base and the meat inside.

My egg.. my egg… I can die for it 🙂

The meat…

A very short video as I was too busy eating 🙂
Enjoy !!
